Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Electrician located in Newcastle West, NSW. The Lead Electrician will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, troubleshooting electrical issues, and providing guidance to junior electricians. Responsibilities also include maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating with clients, and ensuring project timelines are met efficiently.

To be considered for this role, the right applicant should have the following

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations.
  • 2–4 years' experience in a supervisory or site management role within the electrical industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of General Electrical, Dry Fire, Security, and Access Control systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical plans and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and the preparation of relevant documentation and reports.
