Factory Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Factory Electrician to join our dynamic team at John Wyatt Electrical Pty Ltd in Mount Alford, QLD. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the electrical systems and equipment within our manufacturing facility.

• Paid to travel to and from site.
• 5.30am on site start 1pm finish (with optional overtime) Monday - Friday, optional Saturday work at penalty rates as well.

What you'll be doing

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, including motors, switchgear, programmable logic controllers, and other industrial electrical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime
• Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve electrical issues
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve electrical systems and processes

What we're looking for

• Qualified electrician with a current Electrical Licence
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting will help but can be trained
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
