We're currently seeking a hands-on and experienced Operations Manager to join our Smeaton Grange team, a key leadership role with a clear succession pathway to the Site Manager position. This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven leader who wants to shape the future of our site operations and grow their career within a national business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the agreed production plan within budget, ensuring efficient conversion of raw materials into finished goods.
  • Drive operational excellence through best-practice systems and processes under the One Harvest Production System (OPS).
  • Champion food and people safety across all factory floors.
  • Maintain and report on site KPIs, driving continuous improvement across safety, delivery, quality, and financial outcomes.
  • Manage business and site changes effectively, fostering collaboration and engagement across teams.
People Leadership
  • Lead and mentor operations team, setting clear performance standards and supporting professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Develop succession plans and internal bench strength, preparing future leaders for success.
  • Encourage collaboration across sites to share best practice and harmonise operations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal), with experience leading large teams and maximising performance.
  • Previous management experience in a similar industry is advantageous.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Solid understanding of effective rostering and labour management.
  • Exceptional organisation, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to delegate and manage performance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask, collaborating effectively with stakeholders across all business areas.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to deliver objectives on time, including setting and managing budgets.What We Offer
