About Growplay Monkey Bars:

Growplay Monkey Bars is an Australian-owned and operated company based in Perth, specializing in premium backyard monkey bars and outdoor play equipment. We design durable, safe, and modular products in-house, currently selling in Australia, UK, USA and New Zealand.

Job Title: Industrial Designer (Full-Time)

Location: Balcatta

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and develop new product designs for outdoor play equipment, from initial sketches to final prototypes.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.

  • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.

  • Oversee prototyping processes, including 3D printing, injection moulding, and metal fabrication.

  • Design packaging solutions that are practical, sustainable, and aligned with our brand.

  • Conduct research on materials, safety standards, and user needs to innovate and improve our product line.

  • Iterate designs based on feedback, testing, and market trends.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in consumer products or outdoor equipment.

  • Strong hand-drawing skills for concept development and ideation.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and rendering.

  • Expertise in injection moulding, metal fabrication, packaging design, 3D printing, and prototyping.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

  • Bachelor's degree or Adv Diploma in Industrial Design

  • Passion for child development and outdoor play is a plus
