Production Supervisor

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting role available for a Production Supervisor on our Night shift at our Rocklea site.

This role is responsible for leading and developing their teams to optimise the production process.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Lead, your duties with include but not limited to:

• Developing a robust understanding of process capacity prior to production
• Creating staff schedules in-line with production plan, that achieve required delivery outcomes
• Understanding, assessing and actively improving all requirements to meet production targets
• Proactive hands-on supervision and leading by example
• Ensuring that team members are fully informed and trained against SOPs
• Developing cross-training plans and implementing them
• Ensuring efficient operation and workflow, identifying bottlenecks throughout the process and work with Production Lead and Continuous Improvement Lead to address
• Monitoring variance and output requirements daily
• Ensuring quality requirements are met and adhered to during the manufacturing process
• Working proactively with quality experts to address customer' needs and complaints
• Participating, driving, and supporting improvement initiatives

What do you need to be successful in this role

• Experience leading a team of direct reports in a FMCG environment
• Forklift licence
• Ability to plan and organise own workload
• Forward thinking and anticipates issues before they occur
• Interpersonal skills that are first class and an ability to work effectively across all groups of people in an organisation
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop of others
• Experience in managing individual and team performance as well as running discipline processes and managing employment relations risks
• Basic Microsoft skills
• Acts with trust and integrity
• Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding and appreciation for supply chain and logistics challenges
