AVADA Traffic is a leading traffic management operator and ancillary service provider with an established and extensive network of companies throughout Australia and New Zealand. AVADA Traffic provides services to government clients and major contractors in the civil infrastructure and maintenance sector.

Role Purpose

The Rosterer is responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of rosters and requires a thorough understanding of clients and site requirements to ensure the most adequate staff and all appropriate requirements such as plans, permits and equipment have been obtained and assigned to the job. The Rosterer will also have administrative functions, supporting the operation of the business and its administrative needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Clients in relation to taking bookings by phone and email and enter roster
  • Ensure shift allocations comply with license requirements, contract requirements, minimum training/credentialing requirements, client specific inductions and client preferences
  • Contact available traffic controllers to fill unplanned vacant shifts (i.e. personal (sick) leave) to ensure continuity of service
  • Distribute unallocated shift reports/information to Supervisors/Regional Managers to source available personnel
  • Assist with maintaining work instructions for the rostering system and processes and participate in the establishment and redesign of procedures and processes to improve the Scheduling/Rostering processes
  • Ensure traffic control bookings have required plans, permits uploaded into the system and available for traffic controllers in a timely manner
  • Assist with pricing and quotation process for tender submissions/quotations

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in scheduling or rostering (preferable)
  • Traffic Control knowledge (preferable)
  • Experience with scheduling software tools
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and influence others
  • Well-honed customer relationship skills
  • High personal integrity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines
  • Critical thinking, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Organised - outcome and deadline oriented
