The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead to join our multidisciplinary Older Persons Mental Health Team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level clinical leadership and strategic support to ensure the delivery of exceptional mental health services in line with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, National Mental Health Standards, and relevant legislation.
- Lead and guide the strategic development and management of a community mental health team.
- Drive change management initiatives to implement models of care and service improvements.
- Oversee human and physical resources to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Champion best-practice clinical processes for improved client outcomes and enhance consumer and carer engagement.

You will need:
- Leadership & Coordination: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary mental health teams, supervise staff, and manage clinical activities and resources effectively.
- Strategic & Quality Focus: Strong understanding of the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, commitment to implementing models of care, and experience in quality and safety processes.
- Communication & Compliance: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, stakeholder engagement capability, and knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and professional standards (including current nursing registration).

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
- Multi-Disciplinary Allowance may be available to dual classified roles.
Salary Packaging :
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
