NOW HIRING: MACHINE OPERATORS

Location: Smeaton Grange

Pay Rate: $35.34 – $49.48 per hour

Work Days: Monday to Saturday (Wednesdays OFF)

Shifts Available:

  • Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Position: Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) Machine Operator

Please note: Prior experience operating Vertical Form Fill Seal machines is essential for this role.

Requirements:

  • Must have valid Australian work rights
  • Must be available for flexible shifts across Monday to Saturday
  • Reliable transport to and from work (a valid driver's license is preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and load appropriate packing film for products
  • Set up and program VFFS machines for new production runs
  • Perform film changes and product bin adjustments as needed
  • Clean and maintain weigh heads, hoppers, and conveyors
  • Assemble Ishida weigh head components and perform routine maintenance
  • Monitor weight, gas, and seal levels throughout shifts
  • Update machine programs and date codes when required
  • Conduct daily washdowns of machinery and surrounding work areas
  • Manage and empty product bins into tippers as needed
  • Complete all production paperwork accurately and on time
