About the opportunity
Our beautiful modern aged care facility is located at the base of the Dandenong Ranges in Montrose. With 122 aged care residents living in a small household model of care, our catering team assist staff to provide modern and nutritious meals as well as operate our cafe that runs 7 days a week serving residents, families, and staff alike.
You will be able to:
- Assist the Chef to provide tasty, nutritious and appealing food in line with Aged Care Quality Standards, council regulations and where required ensure modified food is provided as required as per IDDSI guidelines
- Operate a Barista Coffee Machine in a small cafe area serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and light meals.
- Work as part of a team to ensure that areas are clean and ready for service and residents and families have a positive experience at Mercy Place Montrose.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Current Food Handling Certificate
- Experience in working in the catering industry
- A positive approach to all that you do and be willing to work in a busy but
productive aged care environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance OR Evidence of application for clearance and a current police check.
