Position Title: Retail Manager – Specialist South African Biltong Shop

Location: Gold Coast, QLD, Australia

Full Time Position 40 hours a week.

Salary: AUD 76,515 per annum plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience)

The Biltong Boss Pty Ltd operates a specialty retail store supplying South African style biltong and related products. We are seeking a hands-on Retail Manager to run day-to-day store operations, supervise staff and deliver excellent customer service.

Key duties


• Manage daily store operations including opening and closing


• Supervise, train and roster staff to ensure adequate coverage


• Maintain stock levels and product quality for South African style biltong and related products


• Serve customers and provide product information


• Monitor sales and assist with in-store promotions


• Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures


• Report to the business owner as required

About you


• Minimum 3 years experience in retail or customer-facing store management


• Proven experience supervising staff, handling cash, and managing opening/closing procedures


• Product knowledge of South African style biltong and dried meats, or a strong willingness and ability to learn quickly


• Strong customer service focus and good verbal communication skills


• Organised, reliable and able to maintain store presentation and food safety standards
