Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Australian Healthcare Associates Full time $104,000 - $130,878 per year

About Us

Australian Healthcare Associates (AHA) is Australia's largest specialist health and human services consultancy. Now in our 34th year, we partner with federal, state and territory governments to improve health and social outcomes for Australians by delivering evaluations, reviews and program administration engagements of major national importance.

AHA's story is all about its people. We pride ourselves on our supportive and inclusive culture, and on the vision, creativity, and drive of our staff. Our high-performing team of passionate and talented individuals works collaboratively to deliver great outcomes for our clients.

About the role

On behalf of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), AHA's large team of data collectors will work with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants to collect survey data that will help the NDIA measure the impact of the NDIS on its participants.

The role involves:

  • Making outbound calls to people with a disability who are registered with the NDIS (and/or a carer/family member) to collect accurate data about how different aspects of their lives are going.
  • Working a rotating roster, 4 or 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day across a range of hours (9am – 8pm Monday to Thursday and 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday).

This is not a typical call centre role. The focus will be on speaking to NDIS participants and families/carers with empathy and patience to collect high quality data. It is not just focused on efficiency and KPIs.

We're looking for people with the attitude and aptitude to utilise their skills in this important role. This role would be well suited to people who have worked in the disability, health, education or social services sector, or people who are currently studying in a relevant discipline. University students are encouraged to apply, noting there is some flexibility in rostering.

About you

You are:

  • A people person and a great listener - you have the ability to talk and listen to people from all walks of life with empathy and compassion
  • Thorough and proven attention to detail
  • Excellent with IT systems and software
  • Organised and able to manage your own time effectively
  • Responsible and accountable
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to cope with changing priorities or processes as they arise

Highly desirable:

  • Experience engaging with people with a disability, or people from vulnerable stakeholder groups
  • Previous experience in conducting social or market research, or other data collection.

AHA offers excellent remuneration of $38/hr, a $1000 project completion bonus, all necessary technical equipment, comprehensive training and a positive and supportive work environment.

We are seeking candidates with availability to work hours per week for a 10-week contract from mid-October.

Work arrangements

We offer flexible work arrangements, with training and some initial hours to be office based. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates who elect to work from home must ensure they have a suitable working space that also recognises and respects the confidentiality needs of participants.

All candidates will have to undergo a Police Check prior to starting.

WWCC and Working with Vulnerable Persons checks may also be required.

To apply please upload your CV and a cover letteroutlining how your skills and experience align with the requirements of the role.

Note: applications that do not include a tailored cover letter will not be considered.

Applications close 5pm on 26 September 2025.
