ABOUT THE ROLE

As a JJ's Yard Hand / Depot Labourer, you will perform general yard maintenance and cleanliness and carry out non-technical maintenance.

On a day-to-day basis, this role will require you to be responsible for a variety of depot tasks including: complete bin repairs and maintenance, bin preparation, vehicle washing and detailing, and general labouring duties.

JJ's is an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. This position is a permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday).

The role will involve:

• Perform general housekeeping duties maintaining a high standard of site compliance
• Operation or various fixed and mobile plant equipment
• Maintaining routine work records and inventories
• Carrying out non-technical maintenance tasks internally and externally as required
• Manual handling around the yard and facilities

ABOUT YOU

• Current forklift licence - Essential
• Current skid steer and/or other mobile plant tickets - desirable. But we will teach you
• Able to demonstrate self-management and good communication skills
• General mechanical and repair skills advantageous
• General knowledge of OH&S hazards and safety procedures
• Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance
• Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
• Able to provide your last 5 years' traffic history at interview stage
