Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will produce accurate technical drawings, plans, and documentation that support civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and client requirements. This role is integral to the design, planning, and execution of infrastructure projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts for civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, and subdivisions.
• Convert design concepts, sketches, and specifications provided by engineers into accurate and precise engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in developing, modifying, and verifying design plans to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure all drawings comply with Australian engineering standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and construction personnel to ensure design accuracy, feasibility, and seamless project execution.
• Maintain and update project documentation, drawing registers, and revision records to reflect the latest project changes.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings and designs to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or omissions.
• Apply technical knowledge to select appropriate drafting methods, tools, and procedures to produce high-quality design documentation.
• Provide drafting support for a variety of civil engineering structures and infrastructure, ensuring precision and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Selection Criteria

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson or in a similar role.
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).
• Sound understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and Australian standards.
• High attention to detail with excellent technical and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering drafting or a related discipline are preferred.
