In this role, you'll:
Join our Enterprise Geospatial team as a Geospatial Data Developer, where you will play a key role in delivering multiple technical uplift projects across Transport for NSW.
You will maintain and manage metadata to meet ANZLIC standards, collaborating within your Geospatial team and our Data Management team to use the right tools and to achieve the desired outcomes. You'll own key geospatial datasets such as heavy vehicle routes, passenger networks, and more, ensuring they remain accurate and up to date as trusted sources for the organisation. You will also produce timely, precise geospatial analytics on classified roads, 30-minute city analysis, and heavy vehicle networks.
You'll be the SME on geospatial data and analysis within the team, helping stakeholders understand what your maps and analyses mean for planning and decision-making. Developing innovative geospatial products and tools that showcase AAI's platform and capabilities will be part of your mission. You will also manage the data and applications on the AAI Geospatial Portal, making sure everything is current and accurate.
This is a Temporary Full-Time position up to June 2026, and offers hybrid working options from our Macquarie Park office.

About you
You will have the following skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in computing, spatial technologies, information technology and experience working within the spatial information technology industry.Demonstrated knowledge of geospatial information system theory and its practical application.Extensive experience with building geospatial front-end applications using React + ESRI JSAPIExperience with GIT version controlExperience with authentication methodsKnowledge and experience with relational database management systemsWorking experience with ESRI Portal for ArcGISYou also have high-level analytical and problem-solving abilities related to geospatial data management, and have the ability to create visually appealing, user-friendly web maps, apps, and dashboards in a corporate GIS environment. In addition to the above, familiarity with Agile methodology and experience working in an agile team would be advantageous.
