Maintenance Trade Assistant

Marriner Group is seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic Tradesperson to join our maintenance team across some of Melbourne's most iconic venues. This is a full-time role based at our venues in Melbourne's CBD.

Marriner Group is a dynamic Australian-owned company, managing five world-class venues including the Princess Theatre, Regent Theatre, Comedy Theatre, Forum Melbourne, and the Plaza Ballroom. Our venues host some of the world's biggest productions and events.

About the Role

As a Tradesperson, you'll play a key part in keeping our venues running smoothly and safely. You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning on the job and assisting with a variety of maintenance tasks. If you're proactive, reliable, and eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

You will:

· Assist with repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep of all venues

· Support tradespeople and contractors as needed

· Perform physical tasks such as cleaning, painting, rubbish removal, and basic repairs

· Help ensure our venues are safe, secure, and ready for every event

· Respond to emergencies and scheduled maintenance tasks

· Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

· Take pride in your work and contribute to a positive team environment

About You

You're someone who brings energy, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. What matters most is your genuine interest in building your skills and working as part of a team.

Ideally, you will bring:

· Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others

· A genuine interest in maintaining safe, functional, and welcoming venues for all Marriner Group patrons and employees

· Some experience in a maintenance, trades, or hands-on role (beneficial but not essential)

· Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

· Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and priorities

· A strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative

· Willingness to follow safety procedures and company guidelines

· The ability to work across multiple venues in Melbourne's CBD

No formal qualification is required - just a great attitude and a desire to learn.
