Qantas Engineering keeps us at the forefront of aviation, caring and maintaining both the Qantas fleet, as well as aircraft for our customers across the Asia-Pacific region. As a Senior Technical Officer, you will be responsible for part data integrity, processing components for external repair, processing exchange and used parts, processing loans, scrap, material sales & raising and receipting purchase orders ("PO's") and including technical query resolution. The role will ensure strict regulatory compliance for aviation parts fitted to flying aircraft. Suspect Unapproved Parts ("SUP") are identified prior to entering the inventory chain. The role includes supervisory responsibilities including training and coaching of Tech Officers, assisting with manpower allocation and managing workflow through the Receipt Compliance team.
You'll have -
- Effective planning and prioritising skills for workflow management.
- Trade Certificate, e.g. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and the ability to hold a Production Examiner authority.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Aircraft Maintenance or working directly with aircraft/parts.
- Ability to communicate (written and oral), with a wide range of staff.
- Well-developed interpersonal and representational skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to adopt a systematic approach to problem solving in a complex technical environment and exercise sound professional judgment under pressure.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and a willingness to adapt positively to and facilitate change.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MXI, SUPPLY, Intelx, ERes, AV-Data, ADOC Navigator, DocuNet, QEPM, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with aircraft industry documentation (OEM Service Literature, AD's etc).
- Working knowledge of CASA policies, standards, regulations, orders and procedures relating to Airworthiness - Willingness to undertake further education related to the position.
