Music Retail Store Manager

This full time position is a key part of our retail network team, reporting into the National Retail Manager.

Based in our Alexandria store, you will support and manage team of customer facing sales staff, overseeing all daily operations of the store, enable your team to reach sales targets while delivering best sales and customer service practice. Regular Duties Include:

• Managing the roster, attendance, punctuality, overall performance, and culture of Sales Consultants, Senior Sales Leaders and Department Managers.
• Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, category, and brand presentation of the stores.
• Remain up to date with product knowledge, facilitate product learning while liaising with purchasing department for upcoming launches and inventory requirements.
• Empower and lead your direct reports to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals by offering training guidance and management.
• Ensure company and industry safety requirements are upheld.
• Meet KPI's, targets and deadlines as set by the National Retail Manager, and enable your team to meet their targets.
• Investigate & resolve any discrepancies on sales orders.
• Oversee the implementation of sales procedures, as well demonstrate exemplary service and sales technique.
• Support and oversee staff in the use of digital platforms including Pronto, Zendesk and Microsoft applications, for sales, inventory management, customer enquiries, warranty department requests, and internal communications.
• Other one-off duties as directed by the National Retail Manager, including stock take.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

1. Must have experience leading a customer facing retail team.
2. Working knowledge of musical instruments and/or pro audio equipment relevant to our range. While expertise across all categories isn't expected, our range includes guitars, bass, amps, pedals, guitar accessories, studio gear, brass and woodwind instruments, DJ equipment, synthesizers, production tools, live sound, and lighting
3. Highly developed skills in sales and customer service.

Qualifications in Retail and/or Leadership are not essential but highly regarded.
