Northern Health are seeking applications for a motivated and suitably experienced Leisure & Life Style Coordinator at Caladenia Nursing Home @ Kilmore District Hospital.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
We're seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to best practice. The Lifestyle and Leisure (L&L) Coordinator champions residents' rights and models professional, respectful behaviour.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the L&L Coordinator plays a key role in supporting residents with complex needs by ensuring access to appropriate multidisciplinary health services and community supports.
This role is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering a person-centred lifestyle and leisure program that promotes residents' physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. The L&L Coordinator helps residents live meaningful lives through activities that foster independence, connection, and enjoyment within the aged care setting.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Probity and clearance required prior to commencement including, current Police and working with children check.
- Experience working in Aged Care or similar setting.
- Ability to work within a flexible roster system.
- Well-developed communication skills and a proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
