About Northern Health:

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our five main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role:

Grade 1 Occupational Therapist Rotational

Ongoing full time position working 80 hours per fortnight with monthly Acccrued Day Off.

The Grade 1 Rotational Occupational Therapist is required to provide quality patient centred care in a variety of patient cohorts.

This is achieved through the application of competent clinical skills in assessment, intervention/rehabilitation, and discharge planning with an appropriate level of supervision.

This position is a rotational position working across all Northern Health campuses. Each rotation can vary between 6 and 12 months in duration, and can be in acute, subacute or community.

Two of the rotations involve one of the five working days being rostered on the weekend (i.e. Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday).

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy with the adult and aging populations
  • Proven ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing development and learning
  • Interest in experience across the continuum of care
