About Your Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join the Digestion Operations team in the Bayer Production Department. Our focus is on safety and wellbeing, and we are looking for a leader who makes safety, culture, support, compassion and mentoring their number one priority.

Leading On The Frontline Is One Of The Most Important Jobs In Our Business And Comes With a Vast Amount Of Responsibility. Reporting Directly To The Superintendent – Digestion, You Will Contribute To Our Safe, Stable And Sustainable Vision By

• Creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, supporting, mentoring, engaging, developing and coaching your team to achieve together
• Implementing safety improvements and co-ordinating activities to eliminate hazards
• Developing effective relationships with operational, maintenance and technical teams within the department and across site
• Planning and organising work to meet daily business targets
• Identifying and reporting on opportunities for improvement initiatives
• Managing costs to ensure delivery is met in the most cost-effective manner.

What You Will Bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:

• Demonstrated experience as a safety leader with a passion to influence safe working methods amongst your team
• Previous experience in a Supervisor/Leadership role would be advantageous
• The ability to successfully work within a team environment and build working relationships through effectively communicating, engaging and building trust with your team, peers, leaders and stakeholders
• Willingness to lead and implement change, influence, and mentor others
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads whilst ensuring accuracy in the workplace.
• A commitment to meeting safety, environment and business targets
• Excellent operational decision making and problem-solving skills combined with a desire to succeed in challenging situations
