About The Position Our Wests New Lambton site is currently seeking a Full time Emporium 88 Team Leader to join the catering team. Emporium 88 is a food and beverage outlet located on the ground floor serving great food to our members, fast Menu includes pizzas, toasties, nachos and more to tame those late-night cravings. This opportunity is responsible and key to our front of house and back of house operations in our Emporium outlet. You will provide outstanding customer service whilst having previous experience preparing and cooking food. Duties will include: Assist with the supervision of staff on-shift in their day-to-day dutiesProvide friendly and efficient service to members and guestsOperating and balancing of tillsPreparing, cooking and serving foodAssisting in back of house operationsEnsuring hygiene and safe food handling practices are followedMaking barista coffee and hot beverages Please be aware that this outlet does require a mix of day shifts and overnight shifts each week. As part of The Wests Group recruitment and assessment process, all candidates progressing to the next stage will be required to complete relevant due diligence and probity checks specific to the role. This includes, but is not limited to, a Criminal History Check, reference checks, and right to work verification via our company portal. All associated checks and costs will be facilitated by The Wests Group. About You You are someone who can work under pressure while at all times ensuring that our current high standards are met. Previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role is essential with demonstrated abilities in leading teams. A background in a similar catering operation or the likes of fast food chains is desirable. Along with good work ethics, you will have the ability to work in a team environment and excellent interpersonal skills. Your excellent customer service skills and problem solving ability will have you thriving in this position.
