About the role

Become an integral part of The Inclusion Spot's dedicated team as a Disability Support Worker. In this casual position, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals living with disabilities around Greater Sydney (Western Sydney, Hills District and surrounding areas). Your role will focus on empowering clients to live independently and achieve their goals, while also fostering an environment of inclusion and belonging.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Accompany and support clients in community activities, appointments, and social engagements
  • Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their wellbeing and safety
  • Most importantly, brightening our client's day by supporting them to live their best lives.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in disability support, aged care, or a related field (not mandatory but preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support accordingly
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
