Our team is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Officer to support the operation of the BOS Help Desk to ensure the consistent, efficient, and accurate delivery of enquiry management services. This includes triaging and tracking enquiries, preparing responses and internal briefings, maintaining knowledge and communications materials, and coordinating with internal subject matter experts and external stakeholders. The role contributes to the delivery of operational support for the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS) by supporting compliance with biodiversity assessment and offsetting policy, legislative frameworks, and customer service standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the triage, allocation, and tracking of BOS Help Desk enquiries to ensure timely, accurate, and policy-aligned responses.
  • Assist in the implementation of BOS-related procedures and knowledge management practices (e.g. response templates, guidelines, knowledge base articles).
  • Undertake analysis of enquiries and prepare summary reports on issues and trends for use in team briefings, newsletters, and continuous improvement activities.

To be successful in the role, you will be a collaborative and detail-oriented team member with experience supporting customer service or operation delivery functions in a government or regulatory setting.
