About the Role:

You will be responsible to oversee and lead the daily operations of the Kununurra base, ensuring safe, compliance and reliable delivery of scenic, charter and scheduled air transport operations. Work closely with relevant departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Lead the Kununurra base's daily operation including: briefings, tasking, disruption management and recovery, clear escalation and decision logs.
  • Resolve local customer and client issues and maintain strong local stakeholder relationships with airport, ground handlers, vendors and clients.
  • Monitor the base performance, investigate delays and submit monthly operational reporting.
  • Ensure accurate manifests, baggage handling and coordination of freight inputs with OCC/flight crew
  • Maintain Kununurra fleet and base readiness: coordinate with Engineering and CAMO on aircraft utilisation around maintenance.
  • Responsible for managing rosters, annual leave and recruitment of new team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company procedures and CASA legislation.
  • Champion safety, SMS participation and occurrence reporting with timely close-out of actions.
  • Prepare for and respond to internal and external audits and implement corrective actions for base specific items.

About You

  • Have relevant tertiary study or 2+ years' equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven leadership in airline or charter operations (Part 135 preferred).
  • Financial acumen with analytical skills.
  • Communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC.
  • Ability to work flexible roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
