Waste Collection Driver

Are you an experienced HR driver with a good driving history? Do you have great map reading and navigation skills? Are you reliable and enthusiastic, with a great attitude? If yes, the City of Melville are looking for Waste Collection Drivers to join our Resource Recovery & Waste Team to help keep the City of Melville clean, safe and beautiful.

Location:  City of Melville Operations Centre

Salary: Waste Collection Driver $79,388.40 to $82,818.04 pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

What you will be doing

As a Waste Collection Driver, you will be working with a close-knit team of experienced drivers to undertake a variety of tasks in waste collections (including commercial, litter bins and domestic rubbish, recycling and verge).

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential

  • Current 'HR' Class Driver's Licence

Desirable

  • Experience in waste collection in an urban environment
  • Side-arm experience
  • Experience in waste fleet management, including lift arm cleaning, greasing maintenance and defect identification
