We are seeking an accomplished hospitality leader to take the helm at Pavilion Geelong, and shepherd a landmark venue with an unmatched beachside presence.

As General Manager, you will guide a seasoned team and shape the guest experience at a destination loved by locals and visitors alike. Perched above Geelong's Eastern Beach, Pavilion is part café, part event space, with a wholly unforgettable view. This is your opportunity to lead with vision, drive excellence, and leave your mark on one of Victoria's most recognisable venues.

THE GIG

The general manager is a natural leader who is pivotal in crafting memorable guest experiences and steering the team to success. Working closely with, and reporting directly to the Directors, you will be hands-on in the daily rhythm of the venue.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Motivating and inspiring staff to deliver exceptional hospitality
  • Overseeing and maintaining a flawless venue presentation
  • Managing daily operations, ensuring the team is equipped to uphold Pavilion's high standards
  • Overseeing rostering, cost control, COGS, labour management, and revenue targets
  • Driving consistency, efficiency, and excellence across both front and back of house
  • Partnering with marketing and events teams to deliver activations, functions, and promotional initiatives
  • Building relationships with local tourism, media, and community stakeholders to strengthen Pavilion's profile
  • Leading recruitment, training, and development to foster a motivated, high-performing team
  • Championing Pavilion's values, culture, and reputation as Geelong's premier coastal destination
