SolarWide is looking for a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant / Labourer to join our crew

We're a family owned solar power company based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We specialise in high quality solar and battery installations and take pride in delivering great work for our customer without cutting corners. At SolarWide, you're not just a number. We care about our people and invest in those who show commitment and a good attitude. This role may lead to an electrical apprenticeship for the right person.

About the Role:

As a Trade Assistant, you'll work alongside our licensed electricians and apprentices, helping install solar and battery systems on homes and businesses across the Sunshine Coast. This is a hands-on, physical job that requires care and effort.

Duties include:

  • Assisting with the setup and pack-down of jobs
  • Loading/unloading tools and materials
  • Installing solar rails, mounting panels, and general labouring
  • Keeping job sites clean and safe
  • Supporting qualified tradesmen and learning on the job

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on roofs
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Interest in a long-term career in the solar/electrical industry
  • Available from 6:30am Monday to Friday. Mainly local work. Very rare that we do away jobs

Required qualifications/licenses:

  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Working at heights card
  • You are also expected to have a basic set of trade quality tools. Pliers, screwdrivers, impact driver and drill.
