The Facial Physio is a unique practice dedicated to facial nerve injuries, orofacial pain, TMD, facial movement disorders, headache and vertigo. We have multiple locations across Sydney and opportunities to be a part of established multidisciplinary case clinics with Facial Nerve specialists, ENT, Maxillofacial surgeons and Orofacial pain dentists. We are involved in research and teaching in this space and are happy to support further study.

Who You Are:

  • A Physiotherapist with 5+ years of experience.
  • Have a special interest Face, TMJ, headache, dizziness/vertigo or would like to move into this area.
  • Prior experience in face, TMJ, headache, or vertigo is not essential - willingness to learn and develop in this speciality area is sufficient.
  • A masters in orofacial pain or an interest in pursuing this. (Would be a bonus but not essential)
  • Someone who is keen to learn, deliver high-quality care, be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Full AHPRA registration and full working rights in Australia.

What You Can Expect:

  • A steady caseload with 1-hour initial appointments, 30, 45 or 60-minute follow-ups
  • We are looking for part-time with the option to full-time
  • A fully equipped private treatment rooms, state-of-the-art technology
  • Support & development including 1:1 training in a growing niche with a PhD qualified and a highly experienced vestibular and face physiotherapist
  • Access to a generous CPD allowance
  • Opportunities to grow and participate in multidisciplinary clinics, research and teaching
  • The ability to see both face to face and telehealth patients, and a flexible working environment
  • Optional: support for further education such as relevant masters, higher degree research

The work is genuinely rewarding, interesting and our knowledge is always growing (so there is no risk of boredom) It is also physically very easy on you, as well as amenable to both face-to-face and telehealth. We see patients from all over the country and occasionally overseas.

It can be an emotionally charged field, so we are looking for experienced and caring physiotherapists. The differentials are also often red flags, applicants need to be confident in themselves as primary care practitioners and be calm, clear communicators with patients and other health care professionals.
