We strive to support our doctors with their administrative tasks so they are able to spend more time with patients driving positive health outcomes. Our expertise spans all medical specialties, including but not limited to billing for Hospitals, Physician Groups, Surgeons and Anaesthetic Groups across Australia.

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are on the lookout for a full-time Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a team of 45+ in our Spring Hill head office.

The Opportunity

  • Manage the inflow of accounts receivable tasks from clients and internally
  • Process high volume inbound payments including bpay, credit card payments and remittances from health funds
  • Collect outstanding claims from payers including Medicare and Health Insurers
  • Utilise a variety of technology platforms to support the collection process
  • Support our doctor clients in ensuring their funds are allocated correctly and in a timely manner
  • Gain knowledge of the Medbill accounts function and suggest opportunities for process improvement
  • Support other teams with ad-hoc requests from doctor clients

Your Ideal Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated accounts receivable experience, preferably in a high volume multi-client environment
  • Understanding or an interest to build a career in healthcare administration
  • Knowledge across all aspects of AR including soft debt-collection based skills
  • Strong computer literacy with Xero experience and ability to navigate CRM software
  • A growth-mindset with an ability to self-motivate and work collaboratively
  • An ability to prioritise workflows to ensure deadlines are met
  • Nice to Have: knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience in a medical administration setting
