Primary objective

The Children and Schooling Programme (CASP) Program Coordinator provides corporate, administrative, and project support to ensure

the successful implementation and delivery of the CASP program in the NT through regular engagement and collaboration with corporate

staff, including executives, school leaders and school-based employees, and the broader school community.

Context statement

CASP is a community-focused strategy that employs local people to bring together families, schools, communities, and other services to

design and deliver local solutions to improve school attendance, engagement, and attainment. The Children and schooling Program is a

part of the Engagement Programs, Performance and Reporting and Inclusion and Engagement Services.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Support the delivery of CASP through provision of high-level administrative support services including stakeholder engagement,

program coordination, travel and meeting management.

  1. Assist in the preparation and coordination of documents such as CASP reports, CE correspondence, Ministerial briefs, forms,

schedules and key performance indicator monitoring, tracking and reporting.

  1. Provide CASP management support by contributing to the development of project plans, implementation plans and communication

strategies.

  1. Ensure the CASP e-Learn page is regularly updated and maintained with current resources, accurate, relevant and timely information.

Act as the point of contact for all e-Learn related matters.

  1. Provide quality advice, service and support to Principals and CASP school-based employees in remote communities, including

referring and/or resolving program issues with the support of the CASP Manager.

  1. Maintain accurate records on Departmental computer systems, including Tower Records Management.
  2. Act professionally, demonstrate cultural awareness and operate within the boundaries of agreed program policies and procedures.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills, including ability to engage effectively, develop relationships and

communicate sensitively and persuasively with school leaders, Aboriginal clients and community stakeholders living in remote

communities, including where English is not their first language.

  1. Demonstrated experience in preparing briefs and reports, drawing information from multiple sources, with the ability to analyse and

provide accurate recommendations to improve practices.

  1. Experience in providing high level administrative, project and program support to facilitate successful implementation and delivery.
  2. Experience using a range of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams with the demonstrated ability to learn

new systems.

5. Knowledge and understanding of contract management requirements and processes.

6. Demonstrated experience in management of financial support services including GrantsNT and procurement and grants management

systems.

1. Hold a current Working with Children Clearance notice or immediately obtain.

  1. Travel away from home by 4WD or light aircraft, including overnight stays, when required.
  2. Hold a current NT Drivers licence.
