About the Role

Greendeal is on a mission to make solar, heat pumps, and clean energy accessible for all. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented
Compliance Manager
to keep our operations fully compliant with all regulatory requirements in the solar industry.

You will monitor compliance updates, liaise with government bodies, and ensure that all changes related to rebates, subsidies, and STC trading are communicated clearly to customers and internal teams. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role for someone agile, resourceful, and ready to navigate Australia's evolving renewable energy landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Greendeal and regulatory bodies, ensuring full compliance with solar industry regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with compliance regulations, including STC trading, rebates, ESCs, VEECs, and PRCs
  • Communicate compliance updates to customers, internal teams, and the product team
  • Ensure all rebate and subsidy programs are followed correctly and assist teams with compliance inquiries
  • Continuously review and streamline internal compliance processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Respond rapidly to sudden compliance changes, minimizing disruption to operations
  • Work closely with product, sales, and support teams to embed compliance across all operations
  • Liaise with strategic customers to address compliance concerns and process submissions timely
  • Provide internal and external training on compliance requirements
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reports of compliance activities
  • Schedule and oversee audits (phone and onsite) to ensure regulatory adherence

Who You Are

  • Experienced in the solar industry, including STC trading, rebates, and environmental certificate programs
  • 1–2 years in a compliance, regulatory, or legal role (renewable energy experience preferred)
  • Highly agile, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to sudden regulatory changes
  • Strong communicator, able to simplify complex regulations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Skilled problem-solver with resilience under pressure
  • Familiar with compliance-related systems and tools; tech-savvy
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Compliance, Environmental Science, or Renewable Energy
  • Compliance or risk management certification desirable (e.g., CCEP, CRCMP, ARM)
