Our Commonwealth Government client is seeking an experienced
Security Systems Engineer
to support the Government Uplift Cyber Security Remediation Program (CURP). This role is ideal for a highly organised, dynamic, and outcome-driven professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working as a trusted technical advisor to government stakeholders.

As a subject matter expert (SME), you will deliver specialist security engineering advice and implement security controls across a diverse range of Australian Government systems, contributing directly to strengthening Australia's national cyber security posture.

The Senior Security Systems Engineer will work across multiple external Australian Government entities, providing expert advice, design, implementation, and remediation of security controls across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist security engineering advice and implementing security controls across complex environments
  • Designing, implementing, and remediating security solutions across multiple technologies
  • Developing high-quality technical documentation (e.g. SOPs, RFCs, design documentation, as-built/as-configured artefacts)
  • Facilitating and participating in security engineering workshops and remediation activities
  • Developing and testing prototype security configurations to inform guidance and recommendations
  • Implementing security controls in line with the client's internal
    Information Security Manual (ISM)
