With a rapidly growing team, a loyal client base, and a workshop booked months in advance, we're searching for a Workshop Support Assistant to help our skilled crew deliver clean, efficient, on-time builds day in, day out.

This role is for someone who wants structure, purpose, and pride in their daily work. You'll be the calm and consistent presence that keeps the workspace clean, consumables stocked, vehicles prepped, and the team supported. This is not an apprentice or tradie role — it's the reliable foundation that lets the entire team perform at their best.

What You'll Be Doing

Workshop Housekeeping & Organisation

  • Daily sweeping, tidying, and readiness checks in workshop bays

  • Stocking and organising consumables (rags, adhesives, fasteners)

  • Ensuring shared tools are returned, cleaned, and easy to access

Vehicle Intake & Check-In Support

  • Photographing vehicles on arrival to capture condition and setup

  • Assisting with intake checklist, brief preparation, and tagging

  • Liaising with sales-to-ops team on readiness of new builds

Vehicle Monitoring & Status Updates

  • Tracking where each truck is in the workflow throughout the day

  • Alerting the scheduler or workshop manager to delays or blocks

  • Assisting with logistics like moving vehicles or prepping for alignment

Presentation & Light Mechanical Support

  • Washing, tidying and prepping vehicles for customer pickup

  • Assisting fitters with fitting wheels and tyres

  • Operating tyre machine and balancer (training provided)

  • Lifting, moving or staging parts and tools for techs as needed

Requirements

  • Manual driver's licence (essential)

  • Physically capable (can lift up to 25kg, move wheels/tyres, wash vehicles)

  • Comfortable using basic digital tools (iPad checklists, intake forms)

  • Neat personal presentation and respectful communication

Nice to Have (but not required):

  • Forklift ticket

  • Prior experience in workshop, warehouse, automotive, detailing or mechanical support

  • Familiarity with tyres, tools, or vehicle logistics
