TCM is a small, family-owned company specialising in the delivery of a wide variety of construction projects in the Top End of Australia. Your new role
Due to rapid growth and increasing demand, TCM is looking to expand our team of experienced construction professionals.
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects to ensure completion in accordance with client requirements. You will be the point of contact for the client and represent the company in all dealings.
The position will be offered as a permanent full-time role based in our Winnellie office, with remote travel as required.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Liaise with and advise clients on project feasibility and project delivery methodologies.
- Develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the client and project plans including scope, budget, schedule, and risk items.
- Tender, procure and manage suitable subcontractors to undertake any necessary works.
- Liaise with relevant statutory bodies as required to obtain advice or approval for project works including any planning or building approvals.
- Oversee the construction team during construction stage to ensure progress meets the design intent, project plan and client expectations, and provide support relating to the design and construction interface.
- Monitor project delivery and report to the client and project stakeholders on project progress including issues on scope, program, budget and variation or change.
- Autonomous delivery of construct only and/or design and construct commercial building projects.
- Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training and performance management.
- Regular commercial reporting, progress claims and variations
- Develop, monitor and review safety documents relating to the project.
What you need:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in Project Management or Site Management roles working on Commercial and Residential Building projects.
- Demonstrated experience in handling the design phase of projects and ability to read drawings.
- Demonstrated experience in creating work schedules.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and managing subcontractors.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and client focus.
- An understanding of Building methodologies and current industry best practice.
- An understanding of WHS and relevant legislation, and the ability to implement safe work methods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a small team.
