About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Senior GraphQL Developer
to design, build, and optimize scalable GraphQL APIs and integrations for our applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GraphQL schema design, API performance tuning, and backend integration with modern frameworks and databases. This role requires close collaboration with frontend, backend, and product teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop
    GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and APIs
    for scalable applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to integrate GraphQL APIs with diverse clients and services.
  • Optimize
    GraphQL queries and resolvers
    for performance, security, and reliability.
  • Implement
    authentication, authorization, and caching strategies
    for APIs.
  • Migrate or integrate existing REST APIs into GraphQL-based solutions where applicable.
  • Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design efficient data access patterns.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance GraphQL services in production.
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in
    code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions
    .

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in
    GraphQL schema design, resolvers, and query optimization
    .
  • Proficiency with
    JavaScript/TypeScript
    and frameworks such as
    , Express, or Apollo Server
    .
  • Experience with
    databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, or similar)
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
    (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with
    Apollo Federation or GraphQL stitching
    for microservices.
  • Exposure to
    React, Angular, or Vue
    to understand frontend integration.
  • Familiarity with
    Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
    .
  • Knowledge of
    cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
    .
  • Prior experience leading teams or mentoring developers.
