Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia Department of Health - Queensland Full time $125,000 - $175,000 per year

Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director to develop and lead the implementation of operational plans reflecting the Gold Coast Health and Hospital Services strategic vision.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nursing Director (Infection Control, Sexual Health, Palliative Care, Infectious Diseases Control, Radiology, Rheumatology and Dermatology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide high level leadership and management of nursing staff and policy
  • Proactively support education strategies through a culture of learning
  • Ensure resources are managed using ethical decisions and sound practices
  • Develop timely and accurate strategic submissions, briefs and papers

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary $ per annum

The Infection Control, Sexual Health, Palliative Care, Infectious Diseases, Radiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology and Day Medical Unit Clinical Business Unit manages services across the Hospital and Health Service, at both Robina Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, as well as community based services, and Day Medical Unit at Tugun.
