Perth, Western Australia Shelford Constructions Full time $120,000 - $140,000 per year

The Shelford Group is a large construction company providing commercial and residential construction services across the Perth metropolitan area and the southwest region for over 30 years.

We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing Project Manager to join our commercial division.  Working alongside our highly skilled Commercial Construction Team, you will be responsible for the management and administration of all stages of commercial building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to Shelford's exacting standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overall management of project works
  • Managing and working effectively with key project personnel to ensure a successful project outcome
  • Liaising with clients, contractors/suppliers and statutory authorities to achieve a successful project outcome.
  • Programming of works
  • Preparing and issuing submissions to authorities.
  • Scheduling
  • Negotiating contractual issues and scope of works.
  • Negotiating contract variations.
  • Attending to any issues that may arise during construction.

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a construction related field
  • At least 5 years of project management experience including commercial, industrial, civil construction and earthworks
  • Worked on Government projects, schools, shopping centers, hospitals, defense and heavy industry environments.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Extensive experience in programming works
  • Ability to lead teams and manage and grow business relationships
  • Highly developed ability to manage contract documentation including variations and construction programs.
  • Experience in analysing and reporting on project costs, revenues, risk and opportunities
  • Experience in multiple types of construction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
