
Travel Sales Manager

We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on Sales Manager to join AVG Travels as a key member of our leadership team.
This is not a passive management role. We want someone who can lead by doing – a sales fighter who is ready to jump into client meetings, close deals, and drive results alongside the team. At the same time, you will inspire and develop the sales force, creating a culture of performance, accountability, and passion for growth.
Key responsibilities
Sales Leadership (Hands-On)
- Lead sales efforts for international tour packages and deliver on revenue targets.
- Personally engage in client consultations, design itineraries, and close high-value bookings.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share in outbound travel.
- Promote upselling, cross-selling, and loyalty programs to maximize repeat business.
- Keep up-to-date with global travel trends, destinations, and competitor offerings.
Team Development & Motivation
- Manage and mentor travel sales consultants, ensuring exceptional customer service and sales delivery.
- Provide destination knowledge, product training, and sales coaching.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff to strengthen the sales force.
- Build a motivated, high-energy team culture where results and customer experience are top priorities.
Business Growth & & Strategy
- Implement sales strategies that align with company-wide goals and seasonal promotions.
- Monitor sales performance and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with both new and repeat customers, ensuring loyalty and long-term growth.
- Work closely with senior leadership (BOD), contributing insights and recommendations to broader business strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of proven sales management experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in tour or package sales.
- Hands-on leadership style – able to sell directly to clients while managing the team.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a sales team to consistently exceed targets.
- Deep knowledge of global destinations, travel products, booking systems (CRM) and online sales tools.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to resolve issues quickly and build loyalty.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
- Flexibility to travel and work outside standard hours when needed.
