Product Packer - Gourmet Dog Biscuits

Due to a peak production period, we're urgently seeking enthusiastic and capable team members.   • Completion of at least 1 year in product packaging

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in our handmade dog treat production process. Each of us plays a critical role in the production process and your tasks include:

Product & Packaging Preparation:

  • Product preparing – preparing product packaging and shipping boxes, printing packaging lids
  • Product filling – packing biscuits and dry dog treats into product boxes, pouches, etc.
  • Product packing – closing products upon inspecting they are of Golden Barkery quality standard, packing to inner and outer boxes ready for distribution
  • Required to clean mobile equipment and workstations
  • Required to operate, clean and setup packaging equipment (including but not limited to shrink wrapping machine, barcode printer, heat sealing machine, etc).
  • Required to pack finished products for orders
  • Meeting Safety, Production Targets and Quality Regulations and Standards

Key Duties:

  • Work at a pace as part of a team that ensures that we are achieving or exceeding production schedule
  • Prepare packaging boxes for various products in line with our strict production timeframes
  • Record packaging/lids with batch details according to our production schedule
  • Pack biscuits and treats to boxes and pouches and close packaging according to strict standards
  • Operate shrink wrapping machine to seal products
  • Packing finished products to inner cartons and shipping boxes
  • Maintaining safe working environment – ensuring all product trolleys are neatly stowed away
  • Cleaning of equipment, tools and other items used and setup of equipment/products for the next day

Skills Required:

  • Ability to follow instructions and learn multiple processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to uphold tempo of our team – speed and precision is paramount
  • Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills

Work Hours:

  • Minimum 20 hours/week availability required
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM are our usual hours, your shifts will be during these hours
  • No weekend work
  • Must have legal working rights in Australia
