With over 20 years of operation, our company provides engineering solutions for the transmission industry, and supplies high-quality coupling, casting, and crusher products to transmission, global mining, and quarrying clients across Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.​We are hiring a Mechanical Design Assistant for a Permanent Full Time role (long-term job security) with a base salary of 60,000 + Super.

  • Assist in creating/modifying mechanical design drawings, 3D models (via AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and technical specs.​
  • Collaborate with engineers/production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure design feasibility.​
  • Support basic calculations (stress analysis, material selection) to optimize product performance and cut costs.​
  • Organize design documents (drawings, BOMs, test reports) for accuracy and easy access.​
  • Participate in design reviews and prototype testing, providing improvement suggestions.​

What You'll Bring​

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or related field; at least 2 years of mechanical design experience (transmission/mining/quarrying equipment experience preferred).​
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and basic office tools; ability to read technical drawings.​
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.​
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to fast-paced work.​
