BSA Build - Fire provides a single point of contact and responsibility through all phases of asset lifecycle. We are a leading NSW Fire protection company specialising in Advice, Design, Supply, Construct, Retrofit and Commissioning of new, and existing fire protection systems.

Due to ongoing demand, we are seeking an experienced Design Team Leader to join our engineering team.

**Position Description**

You will be responsible for a range of tasks including:

- Offer solutions to complex technical issues.
- Manage & oversee a wide range of project design and documentation.
- AutoCAD, 3D Design, drawings and documentation of Wet and Dry Fire services.
- Client interaction throughout the project life cycle
- Working within the project team and passing of knowledge

**Skills and Experience**
- You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or at least 5 years of recent experience successfully designing Wet (sprinkler) and Dry (Detection) fire protection systems within the commercial space.
- Solid knowledge of BCA and Australian Standards such as AS2118, AS2419, AS1670 & AS1668.
- Experience in providing detailed Fire Protection layouts in Autocad, and Revit 3D and applicable codes and standards.
- Extensive experience preparing Sprinkler, Dry and Fire Hydrant/Extinguisher shop drawings.
- Fire Sprinkler calculations with Hyena.
- FPAA Design Accreditation.
- Design Practitioner Registration (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to confidently interact with key stakeholders.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Valid Driver’s Licence**.**
