The Role

KOI Dessert Bar in Melbourne's Queen & Collins precinct is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to ensure the smooth operation and pristine cleanliness of our luxury dessert kitchen. This is your chance to be a vital part of a high-end, fast-paced culinary environment

What You'll Be Doing

  • Pristine Cleanliness: Efficiently manage all dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitising of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware.
  • Support: Assist Pastry Chefs with basic food preparation (e.g., washing, peeling, portioning) and stock retrieval.
  • Organisation: Maintain rigorous WHS and hygiene standards, manage waste, and ensure clean, organised storage areas.
  • Efficiency: Work quickly and proactively in a high-pressure, detail-oriented environment.

We Are Looking For...

  • Reliability & Punctuality: You show up on time and are ready to work.
  • Stamina: Ability to handle physical tasks and long periods of standing.
  • Proactivity: You see what needs to be done and do it without being asked.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a willingness to follow instructions from the chef team.
  • Prior experience as a Kitchen Hand is a bonus but not essential—a great attitude and strong work ethic are

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $28.00 – $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
