We are currently looking for an experienced Document Controller to join our team on an upcoming project in the Peel region to manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring that all records are up-to-date, properly stored, and easily retrievable. This role will be offered on a full-time basis with ongoing opportunities.

The Role:

  • Coordinate the transfer of documentation via various systems, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain record document control protocols and document flow to and from all necessary parties, including the SIMPEC team, client and subcontractors.
  • Enhance and deliver document management systems training, mentoring and support for internal and external personnel.
  • Constantly keep clear communication with client representatives, internal representatives and subcontractors to ensure the relevance of efficient document and record retrieval by users.
  • Manage and maintain filing systems and archiving of management system documents.
  • Review of documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Effectively cooperate and communicate with project team to provide day-to-day support in locating and accessing project documentation.

About YOU:

  • 3-5 years industry experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant vocational or tertiary qualification/s in relevant discipline e.g. Cert IV in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated competency.
  • Demonstrated administration background with previous exposure to document control processes and procedures in the construction industry; preparation and compilation of MDR documentation is also desirable.
  • High level of proficiency and expertise using document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint and Excel in particular).
  • Developed time management skills to effectively manage competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively work autonomously, be proactive and able to take initiative
