Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished mining leader to join our team as Senior Vice President – Technical & Operational Excellence. This pivotal role will drive high performance across our operations, ensuring safe, sustainable, and efficient delivery of gold ounces in line with our business strategy.

As a trusted strategic partner to the COO, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams across technical services and operational improvement. You will champion best practice, embed innovation, and foster a high-performance culture that enables our sites to deliver outstanding results—safely, sustainably, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the global technical and operational excellence strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Lead technical functions including mining engineering, geology, metallurgy, and continous improvement.
• Drive operational performance improvement programs, targeting productivity, cost efficiency.
• Implement technology, data, and automation solutions to transform operations and deliver competitive advantage.
• Assist with building capability within operational teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and leadership excellence.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management, and technical assurance processes are in place across all assets.
• Role model all aspects of safety leadership

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven track record in senior technical and operational leadership within mining or processing operations, preferably in hard rock environments.
• Extensive experience in technical studies, project management, and operational excellence.
• Prior experience in M&A technical due diligence and/or integration processes.
• Expertise in financial forecasting, cost control, and quality assurance.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage effectively with the Board, investors, and analysts.
