Provide critical support for CDU students and provides targeted interventions that develop academic, language, literacy, numeracy, and digital capability support amongst CDU's student cohort.
About the Position
As the Administration Assistant/Engagement Officer, you will be providing administrative assistance to the Faculty of Health First Nations Health Education Hub to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations and implementation of the Closing the Gap: Investing in First Nations Educational Outcomes project.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Knowledge of First Nations cultures, history, and contemporary issues, and their impact on educational outcomes.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language.
- Demonstrated administrative skills with proven ability to deliver quality customer service.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands without compromising standards of service or quality.
- Demonstrated sound computer literacy skills, including experience with the effective use of various office applications.
- Able to travel to remote and regional communities by vehicle or air
Desirable competencies
- Previous experience working in a higher education environment.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037 - $74,456 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943 - $87,113 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
