Safer Gambling Senior Manager | The Star Brisbane

The Star Brisbane is seeking a Safer Gambling Senior Manager for a 14-month contract, with potential for extension. In this key role, you'll support the Director of Safer Gambling in driving the strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering effective training across teams. You'll also lead initiatives to enhance guest welfare, manage risk, and collaborate across departments to uphold policy and legal obligations. You will learn and grow in the role whilst assisting the Director with the transition to the JV partners including DBC. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful, responsible gambling practices that benefit both the business and broader community.

Start date from early December.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in risk and compliance
  • Experience in managing a rostered team across a 24 x7 business operational model.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to safer gambling and the operation of a casino.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated experience and aptitude for delivering difficult decisions and communications
  • Proven people management experience including driving team member engagement, capability and development and managing unsatisfactory performance
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, internal controls and regulatory requirements for exclusions.
