Senior Analyst – Strategy

Location: Perth CBD 

Division: Strategy, Stakeholder Relations, Sustainability & Strategy

Reports to: Manager Strategy

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for turning insights into action?

We are seeking a Senior Analyst – Strategy to join our Strategy & Sustainability team. In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders and executives to shape the corporate strategy and drive strategic initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and annual refresh of corporate strategy and business unit plans.
  • Lead and support strategic projects across business units, including mergers, capital expenditure, and productivity programs.
  • Facilitate strategic forums with senior leaders and executives, including annual planning days.
  • Analyse internal and external strategic opportunities and risks, providing insights to guide decision-making.
  • Prepare benchmark analysis, competitor performance summaries, financial models, business cases, and Board presentations.
  • Explore new business and growth opportunities, supporting long-term planning and value creation.
  • Support project management, including costs, activities, and deliverables within budget.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and processes to enhance team capability.

About You:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in investment banking or management consulting, or 5+ years in corporate strategy, professional services, or planning roles.
  • Proven experience in long-term strategic planning and commercial assessments.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and experience preparing business cases and executive presentations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative and professional relationships.
  • Analytical thinker with a track record of identifying value creation opportunities.

Desirable:

  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of commodity trading and supply chain operations.

Other Requirements:

  • May require travel within WA, interstate, or overseas.
  • Additional duties as required by the Manager.
