Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and customer focused Project Engineer to join our amazing culture. In this role you will have responsibility for project engineering tasks, programming, troubleshooting, project documentation (creation, updating, completion), of assigned projects.

The Role
You will be responsible for:
- The application engineering, programming, troubleshooting, project documentation (creation, updating, completion), of assigned projects.
- In-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and contracts in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements.
- Providing input, reviews and prepares shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on project plans and specifications, showing location of devices, equipment, and wiring etc.
- Advising Project Manager and/or Sales regarding appropriate products needed for installation, identifying any issues on product lines on an ongoing basis to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Assisting project managers to prepare and/or reviews formal submittal booklets, containing schematics, and technical literature as necessary to support each contract.
- Prepares databases and job-related programming for computer based systems.
To be successful in the role you will need to have:
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to electronic security systems, building automation systems.
- Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
- Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision.
- Frequent visits to jobsites are required. Overnight travel will be required.
- Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly proficient computer skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), AutoCAD; solid networking & IT skills (Security & Building Automation primarily).
- Experience with BIM360 or Revizto viewing software is highly regarded.
Requirements:
Experience
- Minimum of five years of previous, relevant Security Industry is desired.
- Experience in a Data Centre environment will be highly regarded.
Education, Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in electronics, Mechatronics or electrical engineering or equivalent, Product-specific certifications preferred; applicable industry-specific and/or IT certifications required.
- Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Valid security licence.
