Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in wills, estate planning, and probate law. The successful candidate will support the team in managing estate files, preparing legal documents, filing probate applications, and interacting with clients during sensitive life events. Some property experience would also be advantageous.

Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
  • Draft and file probate court documents, including petitions, notices, and inventories
  • Maintain and organise client files, deadlines, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with executors, beneficiaries, court personnel, financial institutions, and government agencies
  • Manage estate administration tasks including asset collection, debt payment, and distribution
  • Schedule meetings, court hearings, and client consultations
  • Provide exceptional client service with empathy and professionalism
  • Perform legal research related to estate and probate matters as needed

To be successful in the role, you should have:

  • 5+ years - Wills and Estate experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and an ability to prioritise
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multitask
  • NO students please
