Our opportunity
As
Solution Engineer, Construction Operating Platform
, you will be working within an agile team, this role partners with operational teams, business and digital peers, and Vendor stakeholders to provide functional and technical support, deliver platform enhancements, and contribute to process and workflow automation.

The role sits within the platform layer of Mirvac's integrated digital operating model and is responsible for supporting and optimising Mirvac's construction operating platforms to maximise usability, stability, and business value. You will ensure the platform is accessible, reusable, secure, and modern, enabling key business outcomes and maintaining the integrity of Mirvac's construction systems and data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality functional and technical support to platform users, both on-site and remotely, ensuring timely issue resolution and platform stability.
  • Lead the triage, resolution, and escalation of technical incidents, and drive improvements in platform configuration, stability, and performance.
  • Respond rapidly and communicate effectively with stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to resolve complex issues and incidents.
  • Contribute to the uplift of the platform through collaboration with Digital peers, business stakeholders, and Mirvac's CoE to identify and shape solution requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and develop solution designs.
  • Analyse functional specifications and solution designs and translate into both simple and complex user stories and work packages, focusing on reusable solutions across products.
  • Engineer solutions that minimise technical debt and maximise release velocity, while promoting and maintaining Mirvac's coding and design standards.
  • Take ownership of platform configurations and scripting, building in-house expertise and supporting knowledge transfer.
  • Document technical solutions, configurations, and incident resolutions to build a robust internal knowledge base and support team learning.
  • Perform technical tasks, including unit testing, to support quality control and solution robustness.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot scripts and configuration settings to optimise platform performance.
  • Active participation in user story refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to enhance team outcomes and velocity.
  • Provide a holistic lens to incidents and enhancements and proactively identify and escalate blockers and barriers to resolving Incidents and/or achieving enhancement outcomes.
  • Promote and maintain Mirvac's configuration and design standards and contribute to the formation of the platform roadmap.
  • Proactively identify platform enhancements that will improve the user experience and enable a more accessible, stable, secure and supportable platform.
  • Demonstrate initiative in exploring and understanding new and existing systems, identifying root causes, and proposing innovative solutions to technical challenges by proposing improvements to user experience for an accessible, stable, secure and supportable platform.
  • Support the promotion of business benefits and opportunities within the construction platform.

Your point of difference
We are ideally seeking a professional with a background in construction operations, such as a Document Controller, Contract Administrator, or a similar role.

The ideal candidate will also bring some of the following experience and skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Construction Project Management Solutions (e.g., RIB CX, Aconex, TeamBinder, Procore, DataBuild, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
  • Consulting experience in the construction industry
  • Comfortable with a range of technical tools and languages relevant to construction platforms, including but not limited to SQL technologies and platform specific configuration tools.
  • Proven experience supporting teams in operational systems, with a focus on delivering valuable, user-friendly, robust, and stable solutions.
  • 3-5 years' experience in technology/digital roles supporting the construction industry
